By-Law Number 3935/71
Councillor V. Rudik seconded by Councillor J. Kruger, moves
for leave to introduce a By-law of the Township of Pickering
to amend By-law 2511 to permit three automobile service
stations and that same now be read a tirst time.
Councillor V. Rudik, seconded by Councillor R. Chatten, moves
that By-law Number 3935/71 to amend By-law 2511 to permit
three automobile service stations be now read a second time,
and that Council go into Committee ot the Whole thereon.
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-law as
read.
Councillor V. Rudik, seconded by Deputy Reeve G. Ashe moves
that the reRQrt of the Committee of the Whole on By-law
Number 3935771 be adopted and that the said By-law be now
read a Third Time and PAS;:¡ED, that the Reeve ani Clerk sign
the same, and the Seal of the Corporation be atfixed thereto.

By-Law Number 3936/71
Councillor R. Chat ten, seconded by Deputy Reeve G. Ashe,
moves for leave to introduce a ~-law of the Township ot
Pickering to repeal By-law 3914/70 and that same now be read
a tirst time.
Councillor R. Chatten, seconded by Councillor Mrs. J. L.
McPherson moves that By-law Number 3936/71 to repeal By-law
3914/70 be now read a second time, and that Council go into
Committee of the Whole thereon.
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-law as
read.
Councillor R. Chatten, seconded by Councillor V. Rudik,
moves that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-law
Number 3936/71 be adopted!> and that the said By~law be now
read a Third Time and PAS ED, that the Reeve and Clerk sign
the same, and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto.

Councillor J. Kruger, seconded by Councillor V. Rudik, moves
for leave to introduce a By-law of the Township ot Pickering
to provide for the collection of taxes for the year 1971, and
that same now be read a first time.

Councillor J. Kruger, seconded by Deputy Reeve G. Ashe, moves
that By-law Number 3937/71 to provide for the collection of
taxes for the year 1971 be now read a second time, and that
Council go into Committee of the Whole thereon.
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-law as
read.
Councillor J. Kruger, seconded by Councillor R. ChattenL
moves that the report of the Committee of the Whole on tiy-law
Number 3937/71 be adopted, and that the said By-law be now
read a Third Time and PASSED, that the Reeve and Clerk sign
the same, and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto.

RESOLUTIONS
Resolution #11/71
MOVED by Deputy Reeve G. Ashe, seconded by Councillor
R. Chatten, that the Council of the Township of Pickering
authorize the Students for Community Action to hold a parade
through the Liverpool Road and Highway #2 Area on Monday,
February 1, 1971, and that the Pickering Township Police
provide assistance re direction of traffic.
CARRIED
Instructions - That the Students for Community Action be
requested to make a submission to Council on their activities
with respect to their organization.

MOVED by Councillor ~ ' Xi. --" seconded by Deputy Reeve
G. Ashe, that the Council adopt the recommendation of the
Engineer with respect to the financing of the Sewer Plant,
financing it on a 60:40 ratio and that the necessary by-law
be prepared for the construction of the Sewer Plant expansion;
and that the Ontario Municipal Board approval be obtained as
recommended by the Standing Committee on Roads, December
16, 1970.

that the Council meeting now adjourn to reconvene into
COmmittee of the Whole Council at 9:09 p.m.
