CARRIED - 3 - 15/73 Resolution #168/73 MOVED by Councillor Mrs. J. L. McPherson, seconded by Councillor D. Quick, that the request of G. $ J. Smith for the reconveyance of the right-of-way abutting their property be granted as recommended by the Township Engineer and the Director of Planning, and that all costs associated with such reconveyance be assumed by the grantees~ as recommended by the Executive Committee, June 11, 1973. CARRIED Resolution #159/73 MOVED by Councillor D. Quick, seconded by Councillor D. Kitchen, that the Council of the Township of Picketing accept the recommendation of the Director of Recreation and Transportation in his report of May 22, 1973, dealing with Canada Week and that the Department undertake the responsibility for such celebration in the year 1974, as recommended by the Executive ComJnittee, June 11, 1973. Miklas ~ Associates Ltd., be advised that the Township of Picketing requires sidewalks on both sides of the street as called for in the original subdivision agreement with Port Union Developments Limited, Pa~t Lot 35, Range 2, and as required by the BoPough of Scarborough, as recommended by the Executive Committees June 11~ 1973. CARRIED Motions 1. A motion to adopt the resolution of the Town of Mississauga with respect to overtaking and passing school buses with flashing signals. DEFERRED 2. A motion that the application by Bramalea Consolidated Developments Ltd. for a~.endments to the Official Plan in respect to lands between White's Road and Spruce Hill Road (rear) South of Finch Avenue to the Canadian National Railway be approved. Matheson, moves for leave to introduce a By-law of the Township of Picketing to authorize the construction of sanitary sewers and sanitary sewer connections in the Rosebank Road area as local improvements and that same now be read a first time. Councillor D. Quick, seconded by Deputy Reeve G. Ashe, moves that By-law Number 4382/73 to authorize the con- struction of sanitary sewers and sanitary sewer connec- tions in the Rosebank Road area as local improvements be now read a second time, and that Council go into Com~ttee of the Whole thereon. Concession of the Township. of Picketing to 0rangebrook Developments Limited and that same now be read a first time. Deputy Reeve G. Ashe, seconded by Councillor J. Anderson, moves that By-law Number 4383/73 to provide for the sale of part of Lot 18 in Range 3 of the Township of Picketing to Orangebrook Developments Limited be now read a second times and that Council go into Committee of the Whole thereon. Matheson, moves for leave to introduce a By-law of the Township of PickePing to amend the provisions of By-law 3239, being a by-law to licence, Pegulate and govern HawkePs and Pedlars, and that same now be Pead a fiPst time. Ashes moves that By-law Number ~38~/73 to amend the provisions of By-law 3239~ being a by-law to licence, regulate and govern HawkePs and Pedlars, be now Pead a second time, and that Council go into Committee of the Whole thereon. McPhePson, moves that By-law Number 438S/73 to authorize the execution of an agreement between Picketing Develop- ment Company and the Corporation of the Township of Picketing be now read a second time, and that Council go into Committee of the Whole thereon. Kitchens moves for leave to introduce a By-law of the Township of Picketing to stop up and close a part of the road allowance in Lot 22s Concession 1 of the Township of Picketing and that same now be read a first time. Councillor Mrs. J. L. McPherson, seconded by Deputy Reeve G. Ashes moves that By-law Number 4386/73 to stop up and close a part of the road allowance in Lot 22s Concession 1 of the Township of Picketing be now read a second time~ and that Council go into Committee of the Whole thereon. The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-law as read. Councillor Mrs. J. L. McPherson, seconded by Councillor J. Andersons moves that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-law Number 4386/73 be adopted~ and that the said By-law be now read a Third Time and PASSED~ that the Reeve and Clerk si§n the sames and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto. Ashe, moves for leave to introduce a By-law of the Township of Picketing to raise money to aid in the construction of works and building repairs under The Shoreline Property Assistance Act, 1973~ and that same now be read a first time. Councillor J. Andersons seconded by Councillor D. Kitchen, .moves that By-law Number 4387/73 to raise money to aid in the construction of works and building repairs under The Shoreline Property Assistance Act~ 1973, be now read a second time~ and that Council go into Committee of the Whole thereon. Quick, moves that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-law Number ~387/73 be adopted~ and that the said By-law be now read a Third Time and PASSEDs that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same, and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto. CARRIED By-Laws 1. A by-law to authorize the Reeve and Clerk to execute an Agreement between the Township and the Frenchman's Bay Ratepayers and Community Association of Fairport, Ontario. DEFERRED - 7 - 15/73 (V)CONFIRMATION BY-LAW By-Law Number q388/73 Councillor D. Quick, seconded by Councillor J. Anderson, moves for leave to introduce a By-law of the Township of Picketing to confirm the proceedings of the Council meetings of June 11 and 18, 1973, and that same now be read a first time. Councillor D. Quick, seconded by Councillor D. Kitchen, moves that By-law Number g388/73 to confirm the proceedings of the Council meetings of June 11 and 18, 1973, be now mead a second time, and that Council go into Committee of the Whole thereon.
