Moved by Councillor Spratley, seconded by Councillor
Robertson that the minutes of the meeting of August 23rd
1976, be adopted.

The Report of the Ontario Humane Society for the month
of August 1976 with comparison figures for the month of
August 1975.

Committee Report of August 23rd 1976 Items #1 to #5 and
#8 to #14, be adopted.

that the report of the Town Solicitor dated August lOth 1976,

LOT LEVY FEES
Moved by Councillor Matheson, seconded by Councillor Spratley
that effective September 1st 1976, the Lot Levy Fee for lots
created through the Durham Land Severance Committee in the Town
of Pickering be established as follows for Urban Service Area:

As recommended by the Administrator-Clerk in his report
dated August 17th 1976 and that a further report dealing
with severances in the rural area be submitted for the
consideration of Council.

Resolution 133/76 - Item #15
Moved by Councillor Matheson, seconded by Councillor Spratley
that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to enter into an
agreement with Armbro Brothers covering the temporary use
of the Ba1sdon and P1itz properties in Lot 18, Concession
1, more particularly described under Roll Number 22-029 and
22-028, for temporazy quarters for the construction's offices
and bunkhouses required by Armbro Construction Company Limited
in connection with their contract to widen Highway #401.

between the Corporation and De Leuw Cather, Canada Limited,
with respect to consulting services for the Fairport Community
Secondary Plan (Bay Ridges Plaza Study) as recommended by the
Town Solicitor in his reports dated July 29th and August 26th
1976.

Moved by Councillor Robertson, seconded by Councillor Spratley
that effective September 1st 1976, the lot levy fees for lots
created through the Durham Land Severance Committee in the
Town of Pickering in the area outside of the urban service
area be established as follows:

By-Law Number 460/76
Councillor Searle, seconded by Councillor Spratley moved
for leave to introduce a By-law of the Town of Pickering
to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to enter into an agreement
with the Bay Ridges Cable T.V. Company, and that same be
now read a first, second and third time and that the same
be now finally passed and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the
same and that the Seal of the Corporation be thereto affixed.

By-Law Number 461/76
Councillor Robertson, seconded by Councillor Spratley moved
for leave to introduce a By-law of the Town of Pickering
to authorize the execution of an Agreement between De Leuw
Cather, Canada Limited and the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering with respect to the Fairport Community Secondary
Plan (Bay Ridges Plaza Study) and that same be now read a
first, \second and third time and that the same be now finally
passed and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the same and that
the Seal of the Corporation be thereto affixed.

By-Law Number 463/76
Councillor Matheson, seconded by Councillor Kitchen moved
for leave to introduce a By-law of the Town of Pickering
to authorize the execution of an agreement between the
Corporation of the Town of Pickering and Terence James Ryan Jr.,
and that same be now read a first, second and third time and that
the same be now finally passed and that the Mayor and Clerk
sign the same and that the Seal of the Corporation be thereto
affixed.

By-Law Number 464/76

Councillor Matheson, seconded by Councillor Searle moved
for leave to introduce a By-law of the Town of Pickering
to authorize the execution of a Grading Plan Agreement between
the Corporation of the Town of Pickering and Jacqueline
Elizabeth Shaw with respect to Lot 27, Concession 1, Lot 6,
Plan 818, Town of Pickering, and that same be now read a first,
second and third time and that the same be now finally passed
and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the same and that the Seal
of the Corporation be thereto affixed.

Dolphin Football Club
A letter was received from the Dolphin Football Club expressing
their thanks on behalf of the Football Club for the co-operation
of the municipal staff in a fund raising day.
P.A.R.U. - Expression of Thanks
A letter was received from Mr. M.F. Kirshin of 140 Keewatin
Avenue, Toronto, expressing his appreciation and thanks to
the crew of the P.A.R.U. rescue craft in towing him to safety
from the rocks on the east side of the Frenchman's Bay channel.

for leave to introduce a By-law of the Town of Pickering to
confirm the proceedings of the Council of the Corporation

third time and that the same be now finally passed and that
the Mayor and Clerk sign the same and that the Seal of the
Corporation be thereto affixed.

APPENDIX III
REPORT OF THE EXEUCTIVE COMMITEE OF AUGUST 30TH, 1976
1.
SITE PLAN AGREEMENT - HOOKER & SONS LIMITED
That the Town enter into a site plan agreement with
Hooker & Sons Limited with respect to a Modification
to the Minister's Zoning Order on Part of Lot 3,
Concession 6 (M 17/76) as recommended by the Town
Solicitor in his report of August 26th, 1976.
2.
BUILDING PERMIT - TERENCE JAMES RYAN
That the Town enter into an agreement with Terence
James Ryan with respect to the issuance of a building
permit, Part Block 3, Plan 353, as recommended by the
Town Solicitor in his report of August 26th, 1976.

FENCE BY-LAW - MR. J.S. THOMPSON
That an application for the exemption to the Fence
By-law submitted by Mr. J.S. Thompson of 501 Creekview
Circle as recommended by the Town Solicitor in his
report of August 26th, 1976.
4.
SITE PLAN AGREEMENT - JACQUELINE ELIZABETH SHAW
That the Town enter into a Site Plan Agreement with
Jacqueline Elizabeth Shaw as a condition of the
decision of the Land Division Committee (LD 257/76),
as recommended by the Town Solicitor in his report
of August 26th, 1976.
5.
FLOODING - HOME OF MR. CHALLIS - COST INCURRED
That the Region of Durham Works Department be
invoiced for $1,700.00 representing the 16 hours
spent by the Pickering Fire Department in assisting
to control the flooding conditions experienced at
1402 A1tona Road on August 13th, 1976, as a result
of a pugged culvert on the road under Regional
Jurisdiction.

FAIRPORT SECONDARY PLAN
That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute an
agreement between the Corporation and De Leuw Cather,
Canada Limited, with respect to consulting services
for the Fairport Community Secondary Plan (Bay Ridges
Plaza Study) as recommended by the Town Solicitor in
his reports dated July 29th and August 26th, 1976.

LAND SEVERANCE - DEVELOPMENT COSTS
That effective September 1st, 1976, the lot levy fees
for lots created through the Durham Land Severance
Committee in the Town of Pickering in the area outside
of the urban service area be established as follows:
