Mys1ik ill Deputy Clerk ADOPTION OF MINUTES MOVED by COuncillor Anderson, seconded by COuncillor Searle that the minutes of the meeting of July 21st 1975, be adopted. CARRIED (II) RESOLUTIONS Reso ut on 7 MOVED by Councillor Robertson, seconded by Councillor Searle that: 1~REAS the t~nicipality has endorsed the Ontario Home Renewal Program and under the authority of Resolution. 304/74 made application to the Province for funds under this program¡ aDd WHEREAS it is necessary for the Municipality to make a new application for each Provincial fiscal year. BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED that the Town Treasurer be directed to make an application to the l1in1st:ry of Housing for a grant under the provisions of the Ontario Home Renewal Program. CARRIED Resolution 1123/75 MOVED by Councill'.>r Robertson, seconded by Councillor Anderson that the tender of London Ford Equipment Sales Limited in the al1\)unt of $l4, 123.00 for the supply of Articulated Power Loader be accepted. CARRI ED Resolution 1124/75 MOVED by COuncillor Anderson, seconded by Councillor Robertson that the tender of L & M. Striping Company Limited in the amount of $8,648.00 for the construction of Sidewalks be accepted. ) CARRI ED - 97 - 18/75 (III) BY-LAt-1S By-law Number 273/75 Councillor Anderson, seconded by Councillor Matheson moved for leave to introduce a By-law of the Town of Pickering for limiting the number of Automobile Service Stations and Public Garages and to amend By-law Number 266/75, and that same be now read a first, second and third time, and that the same be now finally passed and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the same and that the Seal of the Corporation be thereto affixed. CARRIED By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed. By-law Number 204/75 (Third Readingt Councillor Anderson, seconded by Councillor Robertson moves that the report of the Committee of the t~ole on By-law Number 204/75 to authorize the purchase of part of Lot 20, Concession 3, in the Town of Pickering, as a Works/Transit Centre site and the borrowing of $105,000.00 in payment thereof be adopted, and that the said By-law be now read a Third Time, and PASSED, that the Mayor and Clerk sign the same, and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto. CARRI ED By-law ~umber 205(75 ~Third Readingt Councillor Robertson, seconded by Councillor Kitchen moves that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-law Number 205/75 to authorize the borrowing of money by way of temporary advances pending the issue and sale of debentures for the purpose of purchasing part of Lot 20, Concession 3 for use as a ~~rks/Transit Centre site be adopted, and that the said By-law be now read a Third Time, and PASSED, that the Mayor and Clerk sign the same, and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto. CARRIED By-law Number 206/75 ~Third Reading) Councillor Robertson, seconded by Councillor Anderson moves that the report of the Committee of the Nhole on By-law Number 206/75 to authorize the construction of a ~~rks/Transit Centre at an estimated cost of $1,038,200.00 be adopted, and that the said By-law be now read a ThiJdTime, and PASSED, that the Mayor and Clerk sign the Same, and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto. Spratley absent) - 98 - 18/75 (III) BY-LAWS (Continued) By-Law Number 274/75 COuncillor Searle, seconded by Councillor Anderson, moves for leave to introduce a By-law of the TOwn of Pickering to authorize the borrowing of money by way of temporary advances pending the issue and sale of debentures and receipt of a Provincial Grant and to rescind By-law Number 207/75 for the purpose of constructinq a Works/Transit Centre, and that same be now read a first, second and third time, and that the same be now finally passed and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the same and that the Seal of the Corporation be thereto affixed. CARRIED By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed. By-law Number 275/75 COuncillor Searle, seconded by Councillor Matheson, moves for leave to introduce a By-law of the TOwn of Pickering to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign a Site Plan Agreement between the Corporation of the TOwn of Pickering and Tbrwest Properties Limited with respect to Part of Lot 19, Range 3, Broken Front Conces8¡oa and that same be now read a first, second and third time. and that the same be now finally passed and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the same and that the Seal of the Corporation be thereto affixed. CARRI ED By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed. (IV) CONFIRMATION BY-LAW By-Law Humber 276/75 Councillor Searle, seconded by Councillor Robertson moved for leave to introduce a By-law of the Town of Pickering to confirm the proceedings of the COuncil of the Corporation of the Town of Pick~ring at the meetlft9 held on the 11th day of August 1975, and that same now be read a first, second and third time and that the same be now finally passed and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the same and that the Seal of the Corporation be thereto affixed. CARRIED By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed.
