COUNCIL ~1EETING
A meeting of the Pickering Town Council
was held on MONDAY, the THIRTEENTH day of
MAY 1974 at 7:50 P.M.

ADOPTION OF MINUTES
MOVED by Councillor Kitchen, seconded by Councillor
Matheson that the minutes of the meeting of May 6th
1974 be adopted.

BY-LANS
By-Law Number 58/74
Councillor Robertson, seconded by Councillor Matheson,
moves for leave to introduce a By-law of the To~m of
Pickering to define and determine the duties and
responsibilities of the Town Manager and that same now
be read a first and second time, and that Council go
into Committee of the ~fuole thereon.
The Committee of the ~fuole arises and reports the By-law
as read.
Councillor Robertson, seconded by Councillor Anderson,
moves that the report of the Committee of the Whole on
By-law Number 58/74 be adopted, and that the said By-
law be now read a Third Time and PASSED, that the Mayor
and Clerk sign the same, and the seal of the Corporation
be affixed thereto.

By-Law Number 59/74
Councillor Searle, seconded by Councillor Kitchen,
moves for leave to introduce a By-law of the Town of
Pickering to appoint a Town Manaqer (Lloyd F. Berryman)
and that same now be read a first and second time, and
that Council go into Committee of the ~~ole thereon.
The Committee of the ~fuole arises and reports the By-law
as read.
Councillor Searle, seconded by Councillor Matheson,
moves that the report of the Committee of the ~fuole on
By-law Number 59/74 be adopted, and that the said By-
law be now read a Third Time and PASSED, that the Mayor
and Clerk sign the same, and the seal of the Corporation
be affixed thereto.

CONFIRMATION BY-LA~A7
By-Law Number 60/74
Councillor Anderson, seconded by Councillor Spratley,
moves for leave to introduce a By--law of the Town of
Pickering to confirm the proceedings of the Council of
the Corporation of the Town of Pickering at its
meeting held on the 13th day of May 1974 and that same
now be read a first and second time, and that Council
go into Committee of the T'7hole thereon.
The Committee of the Uhole arises and reports the
By-law as read.
Councillor Anderson, seconded by Councillor Matheson,
moves that the report of the Committee of the v7hole on
By-law Number 60/74 be adopted, and that the said By-
law be now read a Third Time and PASSED, that the Mayor
and Clerk sign the same, and the seal of the Corpora-
tion be affixed thereto.

MOVED by Councillor Kitchen, seconded by Councillor
Matheson that the meeting adjourn at 8:00 p.m.
