Mary Clark, representing the owners of Part Lot 10, Concession 1, spoke to the Town Centre Development Plan and J.D.S. Subdivision Plan 18T-79008. She requested the deletion of the building height limit and requested that the range of uses of the light industrial designation be expanded. See Item #12 and #13 of the-Planning Committee Report. 2. Mr. Harry Guest, 1963 Southview Drive, objected to the draft plan of subdivision of Silwell Dev- elopments - Berma Estates Limited. See Item #3 and #4 of the Planning,Committee Report. 3. Roberta Pennell, 1958 Southview Drive, spoke to application of rezoning and draft plan of Subdivision of Silwell Developments - Berma Estates Limited. Item #7 was deferred until after January 17, 1980 to permit a study of this application by the ratepayers. CARRIED - 139 - 27/79 (IV) -BY-LAWS Councillor Dickerson, seconded by Councillor Matheson moved for leave to introduce By-laws of the Town of Pickering: By-lawNumberC-2 To amend The Town of Pickering Municipal Code to appoint persons to the Committee of Adjustment and the Public Library Board. By-law Number 1071/79 To dedicate certain lands as a public highway (part of Lot 6, Plan 818 - Part 2, Plan 40R-3170, Fairport Road North.) By-law Number 1072/79 To raise money to aid in the construction of drainage works pursuant to The Tile Drainage Act, 1971. By-law Number 1073/79 Being a By-law to license and regulate certain classes of businesses in the Town of Pickering. By-law Number 1074/79 To authorize the execution of an agreement between the Corporation of the Town of Pickering and Canadian Union of Public Employee Local Number 129. THIRD,READING Councillor Dickerson, seconded by Councillor Matheson moved that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-law Numbers C-2, 1071/79, 1072/79, 1073/79 and 1074/79 be adopted and that the said By-laws be now read a Third Time and PASSED and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the same, and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto. CARRIED By-laws read a first, second and third time and finally passed. - 140 - 27/79 (V) , -CONFIRMATION BY-LAW By-law,Number-l075/79 Councillor Dickerson, seconded by Councillor Matheson moved for leave to introduce a By-law of the Town of Pickering to confirm the proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering at its meeting held on the December 17, 1979, and that same be now read a first, second and third time and that the same be now finally passed and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the same and that the Seal of the Corporation be thereto affixed.
