'III).... "" .QEbEGATIGNS 1. Mrs. Wendy Handson, 801 Jacqueline Avenue, addressed Council to state her opposition to the motion to prohibit dogs in all parks. By-law-Numbey.1297/81 Being a by-law imposing special annual drainage rates upon land in respect of which money is borrowed under The Tile Drainage Act, 1971. By-law-NumbeY-1298/81 Being a Restricted Area By-law to amend Restricted Area By-law 3036, as amended, to implement the Official Plan of the Town of Pickering District Planning Area, Region of Durham, in Part Lot 17, Concession 1, and Part Lots 10-15, inclusive, Plan 469 in the Town of Pickering. By-law-Numbey-1299/81 Being a Restricted Area By-law to amend Restricted Area By-law 2511, as amended, to implement the Official Plan of the Town of Pickering District Planning Area, Region of Durham, in Lots 36-46 inclusive, Plan 355 and Blocks C and D, and Right-of-Way, Plan 239, in the Town of Pickering. THIRD-READING Councillor Cahill, seconded by Councillor Stoner moved that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-law Numbers 1296/81, 1297/81, 1298/81 and 1299/81 be adopted, and that the said By-laws be now read a Third Time and PASSED and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the same, and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto. The Town Manager asked Council to consider a by-law to close Valley Farm Road at the south end and that these lands be leased to Pickering Hydro for use as a sub station to service the Town Centre. Resølutiøn-#36/81 Moved by Councillor Stoner Seconded by Councillor Coburn That the Town Clerk be directed to prepare a by-law to close the most southerly portion of Valley Farm Road for a distance of 55.52 metres. 2. The Town Manager informed Council that an abandon- ed house on Squire's Beach Road may be used as a haunted house for entertainment purposes during the summer. 3. The Town Manager informed Council that Finch Avenue may be closed for the next eight weeks because of problems incurred by Heldor Develop- ments. 4. The Town Manager requested, and Council concurred, that a tender be let for the supply of three vehicles for the Public Works Department although the budget only makes provision for the replacement of two vehicles. 5. The Town Manager informed Council that J.D.S. Investments Limited has requested that its per- formance bond be somewhat less that the actual cost of the works in its Town Centre subdivision and Council agreed that the bond may be in the amount of 50% of the works. ~VII)-. - - .GONFIRMATION.BY-bAW By-law-Numaey.#13GG/81 Councillor Cahill, seconded by Councillor Byers moved for leave to introduce a By-law of the Town of Pickering to confirm the proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering at its meeting held on June 1, 1981, and that same be now.read a first, second and third time and that the same be now finally passed and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the same and that the Seal of the Corporation be thereto affixed.
