Kearns - Co-ordinator of Council Services (I) ADOPTION OF MINUTES Regular Meeting of January 27, 1997. (II) MATTERS FOR CONSIDERATION 1. ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT APPLICATION A 20/96 MAXCON DEVELOPMENTS LIMITED LOTS 1, 2, 7, 8 AND BLOCK 9, PLAN 40M-1861 (NORTH SIDE OF PINE GROVE AVENUE, WEST OF OAKBURN STREET AND EAST OF WOODVIEW AVENUE) FILE NUMBER - B 2310 In Planning Recommendation Report 2/97, it is recommended that Zoning By-law Amendment Application A 20/96, submitted by Grant Morris Associates Ltd. on behalf of the landowner, Maxcon Developments Limited, on lands being Lots 1, 2, 7, 8 and Block 9, Plan 40M-1861 be APPROVED AS REVISED. Deferred for two weeks 11 2. USE OF AUTOMATED VOTE TABULATING EQUIPMENT IN MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS FILE NUMBER - A 2112 In Clerk’s Report CL 2/97, it is recommended that the quotation submitted by Global Election Systems dated January 20, 1997 and set out as Proposal #2 for the rental of automatic vote tabulating equipment for 1997 Municipal Election be approved. By-law forwarded to Council 3. ESTABLISH FEE FOR ISSUANCE OF BURIAL PERMITS FILE NUMBER - A 2310.07 In Clerk’s Report CL 8/97, it is recommended that the draft by-law to impose a fee of $25.00 for the issuance of a Burial Permit be forwarded to Council for enactment. Approved See Recommendation #1 4. 1997 ANIMAL CONTROL BUDGET FILE NUMBER - F 3100.15 In Clerk’s Report CL 7/97, it is recommended that the 1997 Animal Control budget estimates as recommended by Pickering, Ajax and Whitby Joint Animal Control Committee at its meeting of December 11, 1996 be approved. Approved See Recommendation #2 5. ‘DRINK SMART CANADA’ CAMPAIGN FILE NUMBER - A 2400 In Clerk’s Report CL 6/97, it is recommended that the request by Paul J.M. Szabo, C.A., M.P. Mississauga South, House of Commons, for a national public education and awareness campaign called ‘DRINK SMART CANADA’ be supported in principle. Approved See Recommendation #3 6. DEPOSIT/REFUND SYSTEM FOR LCBO CONTAINERS FILE NUMBER - A 2310.15 In Clerk’s Report CL 5/97, it is recommended that the request of the Canadian Bottle Recyclers Inc. to place deposits on spirit and wine bottles sold by the Liquor Licence Board of Ontario be supported. Approved See Recommendation #4 12 (III) OTHER BUSINESS 1. Councillor Brenner reported that he will be presenting a Notice of Motion to direct staff to seek quotations for employee benefits.
