1. Opening Remarks
Mayor Ryan recommended that the committee members
consider adding a new award category entitled “Civic Partner
Award” which would be given to one or more individuals,
groups or businesses who, through their partnership with the
City of Pickering, has made a distinct contribution to making
Pickering a better place in which to live.
After brief discussion, it was agreed that the new award
category would not be added to the 2014 Civic Awards but that
the Selection Committee would meet in 2 weeks’ time to
discuss the awards program and categories for any potential
changes next year.
