The Inaugural Meeting of the Pickering Town Council was held on
Monday, December 2, 1985 at 7:30 P.M.

The Oath of Office of Mayor and Councillors was
administered by the Town Clerk.

The Invocation was given by Father J. Bernard Canning.

The following matters were considered prior to the
regular meeting:
Resolution #132/85
a)
Moved by Councillor Robertson
Seconded by Councillor Stoner
That Mayor Anderson be authorized to ~pend a ,
maximum of $2,500.00 (U.S. Funds)œ the Fmland/U.S.S.R. tr1p
as the Town's representative on the Pickering
Hockey Association tournament.

Moved by Councillor Stoner
Seconded by Councillor Robertson
That Mayor Anderson be authorized to trade in the
Town vehicle provided for his use and negotiate the
purchase of a new vehicle.

CONFIRMATION BY-LAW

By-law Number 2107/85
Councillor Stoner, seconded by Councillor Robertson moved for
leave to introduce a By-law of the Town of Pickering to confirm
the proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering at its meeting held on December 2,1985 and that same be
now read a first, second and third time and that the same be now
finally passed and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the same and that
the Seal of the Corporation be thereto affixed.
