SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
This Special Council Meeting was called on Monday, February
8th 1982 at 8:30 p.m., to consider three by-laws relating
to the establishment of a joint animal control service with
Ajax and Whitby; this matter was approved on principle by
the Exeuctive Committee at its meeting of January 25th 1982,
subject to a report from the Town Solicitor.
The Councils of both Ajax and Whitby were considering By-laws
respecting the same subject on Monday, February 8th 1982, also.

BY-LAWS
By-Law Number 1434/82
To authorize the execution of an Agreement between the
Corporations of the Towns of Ajax, Pickering and Whitby
to provide for the establishment of the Pickering/Ajax/Whitby
Animal Control Service and the Joint Animal Control Committee.
Deferred until February 15th 1982
By-Law Number 1435/82
To authorize the execution of an Agreement of Purchase and
Sale/Offer to Purchase between the Corporations of the Towns
of Ajax/Pickering and Whitby and the Ontario Society for the
Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Part Lot 21, Concession 4,
Whitby) .
Deferred until February 15th 1982
By-Law Number 1436/82
To authorize the execution of an Agreement between the Corporations
of the Towns of Ajax, Pickering and Whitby and the Ontario
Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals to provide
for joint animal control services.
