(Blue Ridge Crescent, Dellbrook Avenue and Major Oaks Road reserves) mBy-law Number 2963/88 Being a by-law to appoint By-law Enforcement Officers for certain purposes (Parking Regulations - Pickering Town Centre, m 1 355 Kingston Road, Pickering) By-law Number 2964/88 m Being a by-law to amend Restricted Area (Zoning) By-law 3036, as amended, to implement the Official Plan of the Town of Pickering mDistrict Planning Area, Region of Durham in Part of Lot 33, Concession l, in the Town of Pickering.(A 38/86;18T-86043(R)) By-law Number 2965/88 m Being a by-law to authorize the execution of a Servicing Agreement respecting Part Lots 7 and 22, Plan 228, Pickering, (Parts 3 and 9, Plan 40R-7991) (The Church of the Nazarene; m (A 20/88) ! 27/88 THIRD READING Councillor Mitchell, seconded by Councillor Arthurs moved that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-law Numbers 2954/88, 2955/88, 2956/88, 2957/88, 2958/88, 2959/88, 2960/88, 2961/88, 2962/88, 2963/88, 2964/88 and 2965/88 be adopted, and that the said By-laws be now read a Third Time and PASSED, and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the same and the seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto. CARRIED {IV) OTHER BUSINESS 1. Councillor Mitchell expressed his gratitude to Councillors Coburn and Robertson and wished them well in the future. 2. Councillor Brenner asked when street lighting will be installed at the intersection of Whites Road and Finch Avenue. 3. Councillor Coburn thanked his supporters for enabling him to serve the community. 4. Councillor Arthurs thanked Councillors Coburn and Robertson for their contributions to the community. 5. Councillor Arthurs invited the public to the Inaugural Meeting and reception on December 5, 1988. 6. Councillor Morgan wished Councillors Coburn and Robertson well in the future. 7. Councillor Robertson thanked staff and residents for their support for the last 14 years. 8. The following matters were considered prior to the regular meeting: The request by Rulor Development for the Town to a) accept cash-in-lieu of improvements on Rougemount Drive was approved. b) The Town Manager was directed to endeavour to locate an appropriate vehicle for the Fire Chief and to prepare a recommendation for Council. c) A request for a grant by Town employees was considered. Resolution #234/88 Moved by Councillor Mitchell Seconded by Councillor Morgan That a grant in the amount of $880 for the Town Employees Christmas Dance to be held on December 10, 1988 be approved. CARRIED 27/88 (V) CONFIRMATION BY-LAW By-law Number 2966/88 Councillor Morgan, seconded by Councillor Mitchell moved for leave to introduce a By-law of the Town of Pickering to confirm the proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering at its meeting held on the 28th day of November, 1988 and that same be now read a first, second and third time and that the same be now finally passed and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the same and that the Seal of the Corporation be thereto affixed. CAPITAL EXPENDITURES DATA CENTRE FILE NUMBER - C 2200 m That the Report of the Town Manager dated November 4, 1988 with respect to the Capital Expenditures of the Data Centre mbe approved; and that he be authorized to proceed with the 1988 Capital Programme as reflected in the Report of the Manager of mInformation Systems dated October 21, 1988. m 2. 1988 ROADS SUBSIDY FILE NUMBER - C 2440 mThat the Council of the Town of Pickering petition the Minister of Transportation for interim payment under the Public Transportation and Highway Improvement Act on mexpenditures made in the year 1988 in the amount of $3,296,221.97. m 3. PICKERING ROD AND GUN CLUB FILE NUMBER - D 2200 m That the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing hereby declares that it has no objections to the mPickering Rod and Gun Club operating a full use shooting facility at its present location on Sideline 22 in Concession 5. ! 4. ACCOUNTS FOR APPROVAL mFILE NUMBER - C 2310 That the accounts in the amount of $1,689,274.50 for the mperiod ending October 15, 1988 and $3,431,020.88 for the period ending October 31, 1988 as submitted by the Town Manager, be approved. !
