HomeMy WebLinkAboutSeptember 26, 1988 (Special) 22/88 166 SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING A Special Meeting of the Picketing Town Council was held on Monday, September 26, 1988 at 7:30 p.m. Pursuant to By-law 3714 (Procedural By-law), a Special Meeting of Council was called to consider the following resolutions: PRESENT: Mayor J.E. Anderson COUNCILLORS: W. Arthurs M. Brenner S. Coburn B. Mitchell B. Morgan A. Robertson ALSO PRESENT: N.C. Marshall - Town Manager B. Taylor - Town Clerk K. McKay - Deputy Clerk T. Magi - Director of Planning N. Carroll - Manager - Current Operations Division Resolution #211/88 Moved by Councillor Robertson Seconded by Councillor Mitchell LIVERPOOL ROAD SITE FOR BOARD OF EDUCATION FILE NUMBER - D 3360 That the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing hereby confirms its willingness to make available the Liverpool Road site to the Durham Board of Education subject to further negotiations respecting price and other subsidiary matters; and That the Town Manager be authorized to prepare a proposal for these lands and to obtain a proposal for adjacent lands under the jurisdiction of the Metropolitan Toronto and Region Conservation Authority. McKay Deputy Clerk The Town Manager reported to Council on his dealings with the Ministry of the Environment and the consultant co-ordinating the removal of contaminated soil in the Fulco subdivision. (I) Resolution 212(a)/88 Moved by Councillor Mitchell Seconded by Councillor Morgan That the Town Manager be authorized to enter into an agreement with a contractor and/or the Ministry of the Environment up to a maximum of $70,000 to for the removal of contaminated arrange soil in Plan 18T-79076. CARRIED The meeting adjourned at 5:20 p.m. I
