SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
A Special Meeting of the Pickering Town Council was held on Monday, October 5, 1998
at 7:34 p.m.

AUTHORITY TO MEET IN CAMERA
Resolution #201/98
Moved by Councillor Ryan
Seconded by Councillor Pickles
That pursuant to Section 55(7) of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, c MAS, as amended,
the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering hereby resolves to conduct a
meeting to consider a matter of land transactions.

That Legal Services Report L 158/97 regarding the proposed purchase of lands on
Victoria Street be lifted from the table.

Seconded by Councillor Pickles
That Confidential Legal Services Report L 99/98 regarding the proposed purchase of
lands on Victoria Street be received; and
That Item #3 in the Item For Consideration category be adopted,
DEFERRED FOR ONE MONTH
Council considered the following motion in conjunction with the above:

That the above motion be deferred for one month,

The General Manager reported that the Town Solicitor has indicated that she will be
resigning her position to take another position with the Ontario Municipal Board,
