SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING

A Special Meeting of the Pickering Town Council was held on Monday, November 13,
1995 at 6:45 p.m.

(I) RESOLUTIONS
Resolution #239/95
Moved by Councillor Ryan
Seconded by Councillor Pistritto
That pursuant to Section 55(7) of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, c M.45, as amended,
the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering hereby resolves to conduct a
meeting closed to the public for the purpose of considering a property transaction.

Ron Kaufman, representing Jim McKean, addressed Council to clarify, from his
perspective, the current situation respecting the proposed transaction with Keen Kraft
Marina.
After hearing Mr. Kaufman, Council adjourned at 7:15 p.m. to attend the regular meeting
of the Executive Committee at 7:30 p.m. and this In Camera meeting came to order again
at 10:45 p.m..
The Town Solicitor gave an overview of the history of the proposed transaction with
Keen Kraft Marina. Council then directed the Town Solicitor to contact the other
solicitors who are representing clients involved in this transaction to have a meeting and
try to find some common ground or compromise that would allow this transaction to
come to a conclusion. Council asked for a weekly update on the status of negotiations on
this transaction starting on November 20, 1995.
