Brenner D. Dickerson R Johnson E. Pistritto D. Ryan, Chairman S. Senis ALSO PRESENT: T. Quinn N. Carroll B. Taylor P. Wyger - Executive Director of Operations - Director of Planning - Town Clerk - Town Solicitor (D AUTHORITY TO MEET IN CAMERA Resolution #1/97 Moved by Councillor Senis Seconded by Councillor Brenner That pursuant to Section 55(7) of the Municipal Act, RS.O. 1990, c MAS, as amended, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering hereby resolves to conduct a meeting closed to the public for the purpose of considering a proposed property transaction. CARRIED . . , " 2 (ID RESOLUTIONS Resolution #2/97 Moved by Councillor Senis Seconded by Councillor Brenner That the recommendation set out in Legal Services Report L 10/97 be adopted. CARRIED Resolution #3/97 Moved by Councillor Dickerson Seconded by Councillor Johnson That the closing date for the purchase of Water Lots 1,2,4, 5,6, 7, and Part of Water Lot 3, Plan 65 be extended to February 14, 1997. The Executive Director of Operations reported that he has received correspondence ftom the Inftastructure Program clarifying that there has been an extension to the first program only. 2. The Executive Director of Operations requested, and received, Council's endorsement to continue holding Casual Days on Fridays in support of the United Way. . . , 3. 4. 5. 6. (IV) Dated 3 The Executive Director of Operations reported that he received a letter of apology ftom the aquatic staff for their behaviour at the Christmas Dance. The Director of Planning reported that the Region is holding a public meeting on the Eastern Powers Developments proposal. Council directed that staff take a position on this matter through a letter to the Region. Councillor Johnson reported that the lights in the Pedestrian Crosswalk at Glenanna Road and Fieldlight Boulevard are still out. The Mayor reported that he will instruct CooperslLybrand to proceed with the advertisement for the Chief Administrative Officer and most Members of Council concurred with this.
