A Special Meeting of the Pickering Town Council was held on Monday, June 22, 1998 at
7:30 p.m.

Resolution #121/98
Moved by Councillor Ryan
Seconded by Councillor Brenner
That pursuant to Section 55(7) of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, c MA5, as amended,
the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering hereby resolves to conduct a
meeting to consider a matter ofland transactions.

Resolution #138/98
Moved by Councillor Dickerson
Seconded by Councillor Pickles
That Confidential Legal Services Report L 76/98 regarding parcels of land for road
widening purposes be received; and
That the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering hereby concurs with the
following policy adopted by the Council of the Regional Municipality of Durham on
November 29, 1989:
"That Regional Council adopt a policy of conveying land to Area Municipalities for road
widening purposes from Region owned lands for a nominal sum provided the Area
Municipality in which the lands are situated agrees to reciprocate",
That the Town of Pickering agrees to reciprocate with respect to this policy,

BY-LAWS
That Councillor Ryan seconded by Councillor Brenner took leave to introduce by-laws of
the Town of Pickering: .
By-law Number 5345/98
Being a by-law to authorize the acquisition of Lot 19, Plan 819, Pickering, designated as
Part 11, Plan RD-147.
By-law Number 5346/98
Being a by-law to authorize the acquisition of that part of Lot 30, Concession 1,
Pickering, designated as Part 1, 40R-17052 and those parts of Lot 31, Concession 1,
Pickering, designated as Parts 1,2 and 3, 40R-17053 for road purposes (Rosebank Road),
THIRD READING:
Councillor Dickerson seconded by Councillor Pickles moved that the report of the
Committee of the Whole on By-law Numbers 5345/98 and 5346/98, be adopted and the
said by-laws be now read a third time and PASSED and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the
same and the seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto,
