A Special Meeting of the Pickering Town Council was held on Monday, April 6, 1998 at
7:04 p.m.

AUTHORITY TO MEET IN CAMERA
Resolution #77/98
Moved by Councillor Dickerson
Seconded by Councillor Brenner
That pursuant to Section 55(7) of the Municipal Act, RS.O. 1990, c MA5, as amended,
the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering hereby resolves to conduct a
meeting to consider a matter of litigation.

The General Manager reported on the status of negotiations with the Professional
Firefighters Association.

The Town Solicitor reported on the status of the Official Plan matters before the
Ontario Municipal Board.
The General Manager reported on the status of the matter outlined in Resolution
#71/98.

That the Town Solicitor is hereby authorized to represent the Town of Pickering in
binding mediation regarding the appeal of the Town's new Official Plan by the Ministry of
Municipal Affairs and by Jocelyn Barber.
