SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
A Special Meeting of the Pickering Town Council was held on Monday, January 19, 1998
at 7:03 p.m.

Moved by Councillor Dickerson
Seconded by Councillor Brenner
That pursuant to Section 55(7) of the Municipal Act, RS.O. 1990, c MA5, as amended,
the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering hereby resolves to conduct a
meeting to consider personnel matters.

Seconded by Councillor Brenner
That the recommendations set out in the Report of the Director of Finance TR 2/98 be
adopted.
CARRIED
The General Manager asked that Council give him the authority to approve invoices for
consulting fees on condition that those fees are allocated in the current year's budget.
Council directed that the General Manager provide a report on this matter setting out a
reasonable upper limit that such fees could be approved for payment by staff.
