SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
A Special Meeting of the Pickering Town Council was held on Monday, September 13th,
1999 at 6:38 p.m.

AUTHORITY TO MEET IN CAMERA
Resolution #/170/99
Moved by Councillor Dickerson
Seconded by Councillor Holland
That pursuant to Section 55(7) of the Municipal Act, RS.O. 1990, c MA5, as amended,
the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering hereby resolves to conduct a
meeting to consider a personnel matter.

That the Council of the Town of Pickering hereby accepts the terms and conditions
outlined in the Memorandum of Settlement dated August 6, 1999 between The
Corporation of the Town of Pickering and Pickering Professional Firefighters' Association
respecting a Collective Agreement having a two year term commencing January 1, 1998
and ending December 3 1, 1999; and

That Report HR 01-99 be received and that Council authorize the Mayor and Clerk to
executive the new 1998/1999 Collective Agreement between The Corporation of the
Town of Pickering and Pickering Professional Firefighters' Association having a two year
term commencing January 1, 1998 and ending December 31, 1999.

That Council rise from this In Camera session at 6:46 p.m.
CARRIED
Michael Kennedy of the lawfirm of Hicks, Morley, along with the Fire Chief and Director
of Human Resources provided Members of Council with an overview of Bill 84 and the
need to repeal Resolution #353/97.
