Brenner D. Dickerson M. Holland D. Pickles D. Ryan ALSO PRESENT: T.Quinn B. Taylor N. Carroll D. Kearns ABSENT: - Chief Administrative Officer - Town Clerk - Director of Planning - Committee Co-ordinator R Johnson - Death in the Family (I) Resolution #66/99 AUTHORITY TO MEET IN CAMERA Moved by Councillor Pickles Seconded by Councillor Ryan That pursuant to Section 55(7) of the Municipal Act, RS.O. 1990, c MAS, as amended, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering hereby resolves to conduct a meeting to consider a land acquisition matter. CARRIED . .~' -...; - 4Þ ~ 2 Resolution #67/99 Moved by Councillor Dickerson Seconded by Councillor Ryan That Report FIN08/99 of the Director of Finance and Treasurer be received and that: 1. Council supports the acquisition of 1083 Beachpoint Promenade by the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority; 2. the Town's portion of the cost ofthe acquisition not exceed $247,500 or 50 per cent of the total cost; 3. funding be provided by a transfer from the Parkland Reserve Fund, Account No. 4230 to the Capital Fund; 4. the expenditure and financing be included in the Town's 1999 Budgets; 5. TRCA be requested to reimburse the Town proportionally should any funding assistance be received from the Province of Ontario or any other source; and 6. the appropriate officials of the Town of Pickering be given authority to give effect thereto. CARRIED The Chief Administrative Officer advised Council of the law suit initiated against the Town by Richard Ward.
