SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
A Special Meeting of the Pickering Town Council was held on Monday, February 8, 1999
at 8:20 p.m.

AUTHORITY TO MEET IN CAMERA
Resolution #16/99
Moved by Councillor Dickerson
Seconded by Councillor Johnson
That pursuant to Section 55(7) of the Municipal Act, RS.O. 1990, c MAS, as amended,
the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering hereby resolves to conduct a
meeting to consider a land transaction.

Seconded by Councillor Brenner
1.
That the former Community Centre be re-advertised for sale by Public Tender.
2.
That staff report back to Council before accepting any offers to sell the
Community Centre.

Council considered the following motions in conjunction with the above resolutions:

That Recommendations #1 and #2 set out in Legal Services Report 6/99 be divided.

Seconded by Councillor Ryan
That Recommendation #2(a) in Legal Services Report 6/99 be amended by deleting the
words "with a no minimum bid requirement".
