That pursuant to Section 55(7) of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, c M.45, as amended,
the Council of the Corporation of the City of Pickering hereby resolves to conduct a
meeting to consider a personnel matter and a land transaction.

That Confidential Solicitor's Report LO12-00 regarding the sale of the former Claremont
Community Centre be received; and
That staff be authorized to dispose of the Claremont Community Centre via the "Private
Sale" process and determine a sale price for the property.

That the confidential letter from the Regional Municipality of Durham dated March 14,
2000 regarding the selection of the Transportation Master Plan Community Advisory
Committee be received; and
That the Region be advised that Mr. Paul Kelland is hereby nominated for appointment to
the Transportation Master Plan Community Advisory Committee.

BY -LAWS
That Councillor Dickerson seconded by Mayor Arthurs took leave to introduce by-laws
ofthe City of Pickering:
By-law Number 5639100
That the draft by-law to appoint the Supervisor of Legislative Services as a Deputy Clerk
for the purposes as outlined in Section 73(2) ofthe Municipal Act, be enacted.

Councillor Dickerson seconded by Mayor Arthurs moved that By-law Number 5639100
be adopted and the said by-law be now read a third time and PASSED and that the Mayor
and Clerk sign the same and the seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto.

Attachment No.1 to Report to Council CAO 02-00.
3. That a copy ofthis Report be forwarded to the Town of Ajax.
