SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
A Special Meeting of the Pickering City Council was held on Monday, June 26th, 2000 at

AUTHORITY TO MEET IN CAMERA

Seconded by Mayor Arthurs
That pursuant to Section 55(7) of the Municipal Act, RS.O. 1990, c MAS, as amended,
the Council of the Corporation of the City of Pickering hereby resolves to conduct a
meeting to consider a grant request and a land transaction matter.

That a matching grant, not less than $1,000 nor more than $2,000, be made to the
Brockton Response Centre in support of the residents and businesses of Walkerton to
assist in their recovery from the effect of the E.coli contaminated water supply; and

That the Agreement to Purchase the property described as the North West Part of Lot 18,
Concession 8, being Part of Lots 16 and 17, Plan 43, designated as Parts 1,2,3,4 and 5,
Plan 40R-18850, known as the former Claremont Community Centre, municipally known
as 4959 (Old) Brock Road, in the amount of$131,000.00, be approved.
