RESOLUTIONS
Resolution #34/02
Moved by Councillor Holland
Seconded by Councillor Pickles
That pursuant to Section 55(7) of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, c MA5, as amended, the Council of
the Corporation of the City of Pickering hereby resolves to conduct a closed meeting to discuss a
financial and a land matter.

Seconded by Councillor Pickles
I. That a one-time grant in the amount of $800.00 be made to the Pickering Hockey Association to
offset the costs of ice and room rentals at the Don Beer Arena for its 2002 "AAA" Tournament to
recognize losses the PHA incurred during the 2001 "AAA" Tournament due to the September 11th
crisis; and

2. That this amount be charged to Account 2195 (Grants to Organizations & Individuals).
CARRIED
1. The Chief Administrative Officer advised Council that the Aging Workforce Report would come
before Council at the Management Meeting in April.

That staff be directed to pursue the acquisition of lands known as 670 & 673 Front Street as set out in
the Confidential Memorandum of the Chief Administrative Officer dated February 6,2002.
CARRIED
In response to a question fÌ"om Councillor Holland, the Chief Administrative Officer stated that staff are
pursuing the leases for the Millennium Square and the parking lot at Coolwater Farms as set out in the
memo from the Chief Administrative Officer dated February 4,2002,
