Kearns - Chief Administrative Officer - City Clerk - Director, Planning & Development - Committee Coordinator ABSENT: Councillor Pickles - III Councillor Ryan - Personal (I) ADOPTION OF MINUTES Meeting of February 11, 2002 (II) DELEGA TIONS 1. Jan Burton & Cliff d'Lima, representing Pickering Lions, presented a cheque to Council in the amount of $10,000 towards the Pickering Waterfront Project. They requested that a Lions Membership Arch be erected at the Petticoat and Central Libraries. 2. Sylvain Trepanier, 1218 Monica Cook Place, addressed Council to provide his 2002 Wish List. He requested Committee consider the widening and enhancing of Liverpool Road with sidewalks, trees, lights and burial of wires, better signage along Hwy. 401 introducing Pickering and directions to tourist information at the Pickering Public Library, limit time Councillors and Mayor speak, a thirty minute question period be introduced at the beginning of one Council meeting per month, deletion of any Statutory Public Information Meetings in July or August, Councillors and Mayor give full attention to delegations when speaking, and all Committee Members be on a volunteer basis only. The following matters were discussed prior to the regular meeting: a) The Chief Administrative Officer distributed a memorandum from the Solicitor for the City concerning Notice Provisions. b) The Chief Administrative Officer also distributed Budget Reports for the 2002 Budget Meetings being held on March 21 and 22, 2002.
