HomeMy WebLinkAboutFebruary 18, 1999 STATUTORY PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING MINUTES A Statutory Public Information Meeting was held on Thursday, February 18, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers. PRESENT: C. Rose - Manager, Policy Division D. Kearns - Committee Co-ordinator R. Taylor - Planning Technician The Manager, Policy Division, provided an overview of the requirements of the Planning Act and the Ontario Municipal Board respecting this meeting and matters under consideration thereat. (I) ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT APPLICATION A 22/98 J. & K. SHOPPING CENTRE INC. BLOCK 1, PLAN 40M-1236 (SOUTHWEST CORNER OF LIVERPOOL RD AND BUSHMILL ST. 1. Ron Taylor, Planning Technician provided an explanation of the application, as outlined in Information Report#1/99. 2. Grant Morris, representing the applicant, advised that they are satisfied with the report and also that they can meet the requirements as outlined. 3. Lisa Martin, 1215 Fieldstone Circle, stated her concern that the restaurant use will create more problems with kids loitering at the plaza. She wondered if this problem has been considered and if measures have been looked at. • 4. Grant Morris, representing the applicant, stated that the owners and himself would meet with Ms. Martin to discuss this concern in an attempt to find a resolution. (II) ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT APPLICATION A 23/98 1089375 ONTARIO LIMITED SOUTH PART OF LOT 18, CONCESSION 1 (NORTH SIDE OF BAYLY ST. BETWEEN BROCK RD. & TOY AVE. 1.. Ron Taylor, Planning Technician provided an explanation of the application, as outlined in Information Report#2/99. 2. Dennis Roy, representing the applicant, stated that they are aware of the drainage concerns. Engineers are presently reviewing this matter and a report will be provided to the Public Works Department. 3. Ken Balsdon, Bayly Street, advised that his property is adjacent to the property in question and he stated his concern with the drainage problem. 4. Dennis Roy, representing the applicant, advised that any water coming from the car wash will be handled internally. 2 (III) ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT APPLICATION A 24/98 DAVID A. DEMERINO LOT 165, PLAN 816 (NORTH SIDE OF KINGSTON RD. WEST OF ROSEBANK RD. AT PETTICOAT CREEK 1. The applicant and his representative were the only individuals present for this item, therefore no discussion took place.
