HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 7327/14 The Corporation of the City of Pickering By-law No.7327/14 Being a by-law to exempt Lots 26, 27, 34, 35, 36, 49, 50, 51, 76 to 79, 122 to 129, 136 to 139, 148 to 157 and Blocks 165 to 188, Plan 40M-2495, from the part lot control provisions of the Planning Act. Whereas, on July 8, 2013, Council passed By-law 7293/13, enactment of which exempted the subject lands from the part lot control provisions of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, chapter P.13, as amended; and Whereas, By-law 7293/13 expires on July 8, 2014; and Whereas, the construction of the 202 dwelling units on Lots 26, 27, 34, 35, 36, 49, 50, 51, 76 to 79, 122 to 129, 136 to 139, 148.to 157 and Blocks 165 to 188, Plan 40M-2495 has been delayed and the dwelling units will not be completed by the expiry date; and Whereas, By-law 7293/13 should be repealed and a further Part Lot Control By-law enacted to ensure that, as each of the 202 dwelling units are completed, their legal conveyance into private ownership can be effected. Now therefore the Council of The Corporation of the City of Pickering hereby enacts as follows: 1. Section 50(5) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, chapter P.13, as amended shall cease to apply to Lots 26, 27, 34, 35, 36, 49, 50, 51, 76 to 79, 122 to 129, 136 to 139, 148 to 157 and Blocks 165 to 188, Plan 40M-2495. 2. This by-law shall remain in force and effect until December 31st, 2015. 3. By-law 7293/13 is hereby repealed. By-law passed this 27th day of January, 2014. David Ry: .r Debbie Shields, City Clerk
