STATUTORY PUBLIC MEETING MINUTES
A Statutory Public Meeting was held by the Pickering Town Council on
Monday, June 27, 1988 at 7:30 p.m.

(I) PROPOSED ZONING BY-LAW NUMBER 2801/88 (A 21/88)
SUBMITTED BY EASTERN POWER DEVELOPERS INC.
AT THE BROCK WEST LANDFILL SITE
1. An explanation of the application \'/as given by the r~anager
- Policy and Information Division.
Mr. Greg Vogt, representing Eastern Power Developers Inc.,
explained that his proposal will be of benefit to the
residents of Pickering and has the support of the Ministry
of the Environment. He stated that he has made an
application to the Ontario Municipal Board for approval of
this by-law.
3. Mr. William Kirkland, representing Metropolitan Toronto,
stated that he supports this application because it will
improve the emissions from the Brock West Landfill Site.
He stated that this project coul d be lost because of the
tight money situation.

SUBMITTED BY 699504 ONTARIO LIMITED AND W. PETROU
ON THE WEST SIDE OF ALTONA ROAD
1 . An expl anati on of the appl i cati on was gi ven by the Manager
- Policy and Information Division.
2. Mr. Grant Morris, representing the applicant, stated that
although he supports the by-law, he would prefer if a
"Holding" zone was affixed to the proposed by-law and three
readings of the by-law given.
