A Statutory Public Information Meeting pursuant to Section 34 of the
Planning Act was held by the Pickering Town Council on Monday, March
23, 1992 at 7:30 p.m.

Murray Carson stated that the north part of the severed
land will remain as agricultural and the south part will be
used as a golf course. The portion to be used for a golf
course cannot be farmed and he will be adding more trees to
this parcel and preserving the existing bush. There is no
watercourse on thi s property but the northeast corner of
the property does get wet in the spring. There are poplars
in thi s wet secti on but there are no bi rches or other
hardwood trees. The golf course is irrigated from private
ponds and not by drawi ng water from Mitchell Creek. Soi 1
wi 11 be brought into bui 1 d up the tees but otherwi se the
soil will not be disturbed. He would not want to establish
a hiking trail across the golf course because it would be
dangerous.
