Kearns Town Clerk Acting-Town Manager Director of Planning Deputy Director of Planning Manager, Policy Division Manager, Current Operations Division Administrative-Assistant (1) CLAREMONT DEVELOPMENT PLAN AMENDMENT MINISTER'S ZONING ORDER AMENDMENT APPLICATION l8Z0-029002(1)(R) ZONING BY-lAW AMENDMENT APPLICATION A 13/92 812751 ONTARIO INC. PART OF LOT 18. CONCESSION 8 1. An explanation of Information Report No. Planning Technician 2. the application, as outlined in 22/92, was given by Adrian Smith, 2. Ms. L. Jones, Planning Consultant for the Developer stated that the proposed site is unique in it's location and has a minor variation in lot size. There have been no objections made by either the Health Department, the Ministry of the Environment or the Public Works Department. She stated that the Public Works Department do not anticipate drainage problems. '-" 3. Mr. Don Bennett, representing the Claremont and Area Ratepayers Association stated the applicants proposal was taken before the Ratepayers Association and was wholeheartedly agreed upon. 4. Mike Senkiw, adj acent property owner has no obj ection to the general concept of the application. His concern is with the ongoing problem of drainage. The watershed was diverted onto his property and may now have to be redirected by the Region. Dated '-' - 2 - DRAFT PLAN OF SUBDIVISION 18T-92017 ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT APPLICATION A 21/92 RONSTAR HOMES LIMITED PART OF LOT 30. CONCESSION 1 An explanation of the application, as Information Report No. 23/92, was given by Planning Technician 2 (Information). outlined in Mary Jarvis, Helen Lepek of Templeton-Lepek Limited representing the applicant stated that this proposal is infilling within the Town and that the lots surrounding the property have previously been developed. ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT APPLICATION A 10/92 c. NEWMAN PART OF LOT 5. CONCESSION 8 (BALSAM) An explanation of the application was given by Valerie Rodriques, Senior Planner. Murray Carson, representing Cathy Newman stated that this application provides for adequate room for a country residence and a septic system. There is no concern with respect to flooding, the lands are high with good drainage to the stream. Gerd Reisenecker, a resident of Balsam stated his objection to the rezoning of the property. He commented that Balsam is under review by the Pickering District Plan and that there is a possibility of it being designated as a Hamlet or Cluster. He requested Council to refer the matter until a decision has been made concerning the designation. He also stated his concern with the increase in traffic on Regional Road 5 if this application is approved. Murray Carson stated that the applicant would have no objection to waiting until a decision was made concerning designation. ADJOURNMENT OF STATUTORY PUBLIC MEETING The meeting adjourned at the hour of 8:10 p.m. ~-
