Limited requesting the appointment of By-law Enforcement Officers for the purpose of enforcing the Parking By-law at DCC #136, 1525-1535 Diefenbaker Rd., Village at the Pines and DCC #139, 1400 the Esplanade, Casitas at Discovery Place. ______________________________________________________________________________ ATTACHMENTS: 1. Quinn, Chief Administrative Officer   THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NO.                     Being a by-law to appoint By-law Enforcement Officers for certain purposes (Parking Regulation - DCC #136, 1525-1535 Diefenbaker Rd., Village at the Pines and DCC #139, 1400 the Esplanade, Casitas at Discovery Place). WHEREAS pursuant to section 15(1) of the Police Services Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P. 15, as amended, a municipal council may appoint persons to enforce the by-laws of the municipality; and WHEREAS pursuant to section 15(2) of the said Act, municipal by-law enforcement officers are peace officers for the purpose of enforcing municipal by-laws; NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. The following persons be hereby appointed as municipal law enforcement officers in and for the Town of Pickering in order to ascertain whether the provisions of By-law 2359/87 are obeyed and to enforce or carry into effect the said By-law and is hereby authorized to enter at all reasonable times upon lands municipally known as DCC #136, 1525-1535 Diefenbaker Rd., Village at the Pines: Jacob Start Lorne Graham Josh Hoskin and DCC #139, 1400 the Esplanade, Casitas at Discovery Place: Josh Hoskin 2. The authority granted in section 1 hereto is specifically limited to that set out in section 1, and shall not be deemed, at any time, to exceed the authority set out in section 1. 3. These appointments shall expire upon the persons listed in section 1 hereof ceasing to be employees of Group 4 C.P.S. Limited or upon Group 4 C.P.S. Limited ceasing to be an authorized agent of DCC #136, 1525-1535 Diefenbaker Rd., Village at the Pines or DCC #139, 1400 the Esplanade, Casitas at Discovery Place, or whichever shall occur first. 4. By-law 5492/99 is hereby amended by deleting Marianna Tax-Bivi.
