Minutes Moved by Brenda Rappos Seconded by Karen Emmink That the minutes of the April 19, 2005 meeting be adopted. CARRIED 2. Business Arising 2.1 Council Representation No progress - memo sent to Mayor. Pamela to continue to follow up. 2.2 Heritaae Pickerina Materials Display Update . display unit to have four panels . ability to use both Velcro and push pins . Charles to investigate the Pickering Museum Village Charles to advise Display Unit Pamela Pamphlet . to explain what the committee does, their projects and who they are . a logo will be included with possibly four pictures worked into it . the Bentley Carruthers House is a possibility for the front cover Page 1 Item / Details & Discussion & Conclusion Action Items / Status Ref # (summary of discussion) (include deadline as appropriate) 2.3 Spring Tour of Whitevale . very successful, standing room only for Sunday . thank you to all committee members who were able to participate 2.4 Designations Whitevale Heritage District Extension Pam to keep . Paul King, Provincial representative will review Act Committee updated before moving forward with designation . Recommendation to pursue extension sent to Mayor . suggested that stories told at the Spring Tour of Whitevale be included in the information when proceeding with extension 2.5 Federal Lands . two committees - Working and Steering John to keep . Steering Committee will meet at the end of June, this Committee updated is a larger committee and involves Mayors of each municipality and MP's . 160 buildings within Markham, Pickering and Uxbridge . a preliminary report will be ready in June . at the invitation of Tim Moore and John Sabean, Heritage Pickering will be kept apprised of the committees' work and involved in the evaluation process . Environmental Assessment will include Heritage Assessment and Archeological Assessment 3. Other Business 3.1 Del Leases . a tenant has received an eviction notice due to a clause in the 36 year old lease stating that the lessee of the home could not sublet, which he did after receiving verbal, not written, permission 3.2 Duffins Water Treatment Centre-Expansion John will keep . a stone house is located on the site of the proposed Committee updated expansion of the Duffins Water Treatment Centre . three options are being considered 0 use in it's present location 0 move to another location on site for use 0 or move it onto TRCA land . John stated that preserving it in it's present location is most favourable .
