CARRIED A discussion took place regarding appointments to various Agencies, Boards and Committees. Special Council Meeting Minutes Monday, December 8,2003 4:45 pm Councillor Brenner declared an interest in the appointments of Livestock Valuers as a family member applied for this appointment. He left the room while the appointment of Livestock Valuers was beina considered and durina the vote on By-law 6210/03. Resolution #161/03 Moved by Councillor Holland Seconded by Councillor McLean That the number of elected representatives appointed to the Waterfront Coordinating Committee be increased from two to three. CARRIED Resolution #162/03 Moved by Councillor Holland Seconded by Councillor Brenner That the Terms of Reference for the Winteriest Committee be amended to remove reference to the appointment of Councillor Holland to the Committee. CARRIED Resolution #163/03 Moved by Councillor Johnson Seconded by Councillor Holland That the term of appointment for the elected representative on the Winteriest Committee be reduced to a one-year term. CARRIED Resolution #165/03 Moved by Councillor McLean Seconded by Councillor Pickles 1. That Clerk's Report CL 31-03 regarding appointments to agencies, boards and committees be received. 2. That by-law 6211/03 to give effect to the appointments to agencies, boards and committees be enacted. 3. That the honorarium for members of the Fenceviewers/Property Standards Committee be increased from $40.00 per hearing to $80.00 and that the honourarium for Livestock Valuers be increased from $50.00 per inspection to $80.00. CARRIED .un J:3V -I-AW~ That Councillor McLean, seconded by Councillor Pickles, took leave to introduce a by- law of the City of Pickering: By-law Number 6211/03 Being a by-law to give effect to the appointments to agencies, boards and committees. CARRIED Special Council Meeting Minutes Monday, December 8, 2003 4:45 pm THIRD READING: Councillor McLean, seconded by Councillor Pickles, moved that By-law Number 6211/03, be adopted and the said by-laws be now read a third time and PASSED and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the same and the seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto. (IV) CARRIED OTHER BUSINESS The Director, Planning & Development reported for Council's information, that the Pickering Harbour Company has submitted a draft plan of condominium application for 56 dock slips. In response to Council's enquiries, the Chief Administrative Officer confirmed that staff would report back to Council respecting existing persons living on boats at the Harbour and the effect on property taxes. The Director, Planning & Development commented on Planning & Development Report PD 40-03, Durham Region Transportation Master Plan, City of Pickering Comments on Recommended Plan, which is Item 2 of the Planning Committee Meeting Agenda, to be considered at the December 8, 2003 Planning Committee Meeting.
