HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 3360 CO O A; O 9Y-LAW A ~-law to authorize the issue-,--~-- in the principal amount of $ for public school pu~oses ~S the school board n~ed i~ Schedule "A" attached hereto has applied to the Council of ~e Co~oratio~ of the ~M~ ~ to provide the s~ of $ 1,O70,~.OO by the issue of Debentures of the Co~orat-'~'~ for the public school pu~oses set out in Schedule "A" attached hereto and the Co~ora'~ has approved of said application; ~ ~ for the pu~oses aforesaid the Councll now deems it e~edient to borrow money by the issue and sale to The Ontario Education Capital Aid Co~oration of a Debentu~ of this ~nicipality in the principal amount of $ ~,O~0,~.~ bearing inte~st at the rate of ~ % per a~n~ payable semi-annualS, which is the amount of~ the debt int~dsd to be created by this ~-law. T~p ~ ~Ok~l~ enacts as follows: 1. T~T for the pu~os~s aforesaid money shall be borrowed on the c~dit of Co~oratiou of the T~Jp og ~J~ by the issue of Debentu~ of the Co~oration in the p~ncipal ~ount of $ ~,~70,~.OO ~aring inte~st at the rate of ~ % per ann~ payabl~ semi-annually on the 1st day of A~ and 1st day of ~o~ in each year of the currency of the Debentu~, upon the p~ncipal amount f~m t~e to time remaining unpaid. O~o~ 67 2. T~T the said Dobantu~ shall be dated the 1st day of , 19 ~ob~ and shall 'be ~yable 'in 20 annual Testaments of p~ncipal o~ the 1st day of ~n the years 1~ ~ to 19 87 , inclu~v8, and the ~eoti~ amounts of principal and ~ 87 inte~st payable in ~ect of such D~bentu~ inthe ~ars 19 to 19 , inclusive, shal~ be as "~ ~h in S~he~e,"B" .attached he.to. 3. T~T'th~ said pa~ents of p~ncipal and interest shall be payable in law~l money of C~uada ~ ch~uos sent thr~gh thru post to tho ~giste~ add.ss of the registered o~r of the Debenture and such cheques shall be payable at par in the City of Toronto. 4. THAT the said Deb~ture shall bu seated ~th the Seal of the Co~oration and shall bo ~i~' ~ths Head. of th~ Council~ or ~ some other p~son authorized by ~-law to ~ ~t~es~e, a'n~ the T~asu~r. 5. THAT all sums required to pay off the instalments of principal of the Debenture and to pay interest thereon as set out in the sixth column of Schedule "B" attached hereto shall be levied and raised in the years 19 ~$ to 19 $7 , inclusive, by a special rate sufficient therefor, over and above all other rates, upon all the rateable property assessed to the ratepayers who are supporters of public schools under the jurisdiction of The Public School Board of the Township School. Area ~ ~ o£ ~lo~l'l~ at the same time and in the same manner as other rates. 6. THAT the said Debenture be sold to The Ontario Education Capital Aid Corporation. 7. THAT the said Debenture shall contain a clause providing for the registration thereof pursuant to section 323 of The Municipal Act. 8. THAT application shall be made to the Ontario Municipal Board for approval of this By-law and for the certification of the Debenture to be issued hereunder pursuant to sections 58 to 60 of The Ontario Municipal Board Act. 9.
