1990, chpter P. 15, as amended, a municipal council may appoint persons to enforce the
by-laws of the municipality and municipal by-law enforcement officers are peace officers
for the purpose of enforcin8 municipal by-laws; and
WHEREAS pur~,~t to Section 31(1) of the Planning Act, RS.O. 1990, chapter P.13, as
amended, an officer means a property standards officer who has been assigned the
responsibility ofadministerin8 and enforcin8 by-laws passed under this Section;
NOW 'IT1EREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. From and after the 1st day of December, 1997, Mr. Terence Crosthewalte, of the
Town of Picketing, in the Regional Municipality of Durham, and Mr. Fraser
Copeland of the Township of Emily, in the County. of Victoria, are hereby
appointed as Municipal Law Enfol':'ement Officers, who shall be Peace Officers,
for the purpose of enforcin8 the by-laws of the municipality of the Corporation of
the Town of Pickerin8.
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 1Sth day of December,
1997.
