Being a by-law to ~md By-~w Num~ 5127/97 to sub~t a
ques~on to the el~ors at ~e mu~cip~ el~ion to be held on
November 10, 1997.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering enacted By-law
Number 5127/97 on October 6, 1997 to authorize a question to be placed on the ballot of
the Municipal Election to he held on November 10, 1997 regarding charitable gaming
casinos;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The question set out in Section 1 of By-law Number 5127/97 is hereby deleted and
the following is substituted therefore:
Do you support the establishment of one permanent charitable
casino site in a non-residential area within the Town of
Picketing to replace the existing roaming charitable casinos?
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 14th day of October,
1997.
