DISPOSITION
THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING
BY-LAWNUMBER 5118/97
Being a By*law to amend Restricted Area (Zoning) By-law 2511, as amended, to
implement the Official Plan of the Town of Pickering District Planning Area,
Region of Durham. (A 14/97)
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing deems it desirable to
replace the definition of"eating establishment" with a "restaurant - Type A" definition and use.
AND WHEREAS an amendment to By-law 2511, as amended, is therefore deemed necessary;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. TEXT AMENDMENTS
(1) Section 2, DEFINITIONS, of By-law 2511 is hereby amended by deleting
Section 2.28.
(2) Section 13.1, USES PERMITTED (Local Commercial Zone - "CI') and
Section 15.1.1, USES PERMITTED - Commercial (General Commercial Zone -
"C3") of By-law 2511 are hereby amended by replacing "eating establishment"
with "restaurant - Type A".
2. BYrLAW 2511
By-law 2511, as amended, is hereby further amended only to the extent necessary to give
effect to the provisions of this By-law. Definitions and subject matters not specifically
dealt with in this By-law shall be governed by relevant provisions of By-law 2511, as
amended.
3. EFFECTIyE DATE
This By-law shall take effect from the day of passing hereof subject to the approval of the
Ontario Municipal Board, if required.
