A By-law to confirm the proceedings of the
Council oft!re Corporation ofthe Town of
Pickerin8 at its meetin8 held on the 15th day of
September, 1997
WHEREAS pursuant to Section 9 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. M.45, as amended, the powers
of a municipal corporation are to be exercised by its Council; and
WHEREAS pursuant to Section l0 l(l) of the said Act, the powers ofevery Council shall be exercised by
By-law; and
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient that the proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickerin8 at this meeting be confirmed and adopted by By-law;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
I The action ofthe Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picke6ng at its meeting held on the
15th day of September, 1997, in respect of each ~ccommendation contained in the Reports of the
Committees and each motion and resolution passed and other action taken by the Council of the
Corporation of the Town of Picketing at this meeting, is hereby adopted and confirmed as if all
such proceedings were cxprcs:,ly embodied in this By-law
2. The Mayor and proper oflqcials of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering are hereby
authorized and directed to do all things necessary to give effect to the action of the Council of
the Corporation of the Town of Picketing referred to in the preceding section hereof;
3, The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute all documents necessary in
that behalf and to affix there!o the Seal of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
By-law read a First, Second and Third time and finally PASSED this 15th day of September,
1997.
