Being a by-law to amend By. Law 2566/87, designating
part of Meriadoc Drive as a through highway.
WHEREAS, section 1(1) of the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990, chapter H.8, defines "through
highways" as a highway or part of a highway designated as such by the Minister or by by-law of a
municipality and provides that every such highway shall be marked by a stop sign or yield sign or yield
right-of-way sign in compliance with the regulations of the Ministry; and
WHEREAS By-Law 2366/87, as amended, provides for the designation of certain highways in the Town
of Picketing as through highways; and
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to further amend By-Law 2366/87;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS
FOLLOWS:
1. Schedule A to By-Law 2366/87, as amended, is hereby further amended to include the following:

Meriadoc Drive Delibrook Avenue Major Oaks Road
2. This by-law shall not come into force unless it is approved by the Council of the Regional
Municipality of Durham pursuant to the Regional Municipalities ,4ct, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter R.8,
section 34.
