BY-LAW NUMBER
Being a by-law to appoint By-law Enforcement
Officers for certain purposes (Parking Regulation -
1975 Rosefield Rd., DCC #58, 1525 and 1535
Diefenbaker and 1530 and 1540 Pickering Pkwy.
DCC # 136)
WHEREAS pursuant to section 15(1) of the Police Services Act., R.S.O. 1990, c. P. 15, as
amended, a municipal council may appoint persons to enforce the by-laws of the municipality;
and
WHEREAS pursuant to section 15(2) of the said Act, municipal by-law enforcement officers are
peace officers for the purpose of enforcing municipal by-laws;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF TIlE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLI,OWS:
!, The following persons be hereby appointed as municipal law enforcement officers in
and for the Town of Picketing and are hereby authorized to enter at all reasonable
times upon lands municipally known as 1975 Rosefield Road, DCC #58, 1525 and
1535 Diefenbaker and 1530 and 1540 Pickering Parkway, DCC //136 in order to
ascertain whether the provisions of By-law 2359/87 are obeyed and to entbrce or
carry into effect the said By-law:
1975 Rosefi¢ld Road
Michael Lambert
1525 and 1535 Diefenbaker and 1530 and 1540 Picketing Parkway
David Soltis
Ryan Picard
2. The authority granted in section I hereto is specifically limited to that set out in
section I, and shall not be deemed, at any time, to exceed the authority set out in
section I.
3. These appointments shall expire upon the persons appointed in section 1 hereof
ceasing to be employees of Group 4 C.P.S. Limited or upon Group 4 C.P.S. Limited
ceasing tv be an authorized agent of 1975 Rosefield Road, DCC #58, 1525 and 1535
Diefenbaker and 1530 and 1540 Pickering Parkway, DCC #136 whichever shall occur
first.
