HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 3857/91THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER 3857/91 Being a by-law to appoint By-law Enforcement Officers for certain purposes (Parking Regulation Durham Condominium Corporations #93 and #106, Discovery Place) Whereas pursuant to the provisions of section 70 of the Police Act, R.S.O. 1980, chapter 381, as amended, the council of any municipality or trustees of any police village may appoint one or more municipal law enforcement officers who shall be peace officers for the purpose of enforcing the by-laws of the municipality or police village; NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: The following persons are hereby appointed as a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer in and for the Town of Picketing and are hereby authorized to enter at all reasonable times upon lands municipally known as 1880 and 1890 Valley Farm Road, Durham Condominium Corporations #93 and #106, in order to ascertain whether the provisions of By-law 2359/87 are obeyed and to enforce or carry into effect the said By-law: Victor Amisson Wilfred Bacon Edward C. Hanlon Gordon Lusty David E. Parker The authority granted in section 1 hereto is specifically limited to that set out in section l, and shall not be deemed, at any time, to exceed the authority set out in section 1. This appointment shall expire upon those persons appointed in Section 1 hereof ceasing to be an employee of the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires or upon the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires ceasing to be an authorized agent of Durham Condominium Corporations #93 and #106, whichever shall occur first. By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 7th day of October, 1991.
