HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 3838/91THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER 3838/91 Being a by-law to appoint By-law Enforcement Officers for certain purposes (Parking Regulation 1975 Rosefield Road, OCC #58) Whereas pursuant to the provisions of section 70 of the Police Act, R.S.O. 1980, chapter 381, as amended, the council of any municipality or trustees of any police village may appoint one or more municipal law enforcement officers who shall be peace officers for the purpose of enforcing the by-laws of the municipality or police village; NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: The following persons are hereby appointed as a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer in and for the Town of Pickering and are hereby authorized to enter at all reasonable times upon lands municipally known as 1975 Rosefield Road, Durham Condominium Corporation #58, in order to ascertain whether the provisions of By-law 2359/87 are obeyed and to enforce or carry into effect the said By-law: Richard D. Chapman Robert J. Passmore Jayson McQueen The authority granted in section 1 hereto is specifically limited to that set out in section l, and shall not be deemed, at any time, to exceed the authority set out in section 1. This appointment shall expire upon those persons appointed in Section 1 hereof ceasing to be an employee of the Ontario Parking Control Bureau or upon the Ontario Parking Control Bureau ceasing to be an authorized agent of Durham Condominium Corporation #58, whichever shall occur first.
