BY-LAW NO. 160~/82
Being a By-Law to authorize the execution
of a Transfer between the Corporation of
the Town of Pickering and the Regional
Municipality of Durham respecting Lot 189,
Plan M-7, Pickering (Lakecrest Sewage Pump-
ing Station)
WHEREAS, on January 1st, 1974, the Corporation of the Town of Pickering,
as successor to the Corporation of the Township of Picketing, was the
owner in fee simple of Lot 189, Plan M-7, Pickering, being the Lakecrest
Sewage Pumping Station and appurtenances thereto; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of section 53(8) of the Regional
Municipality of Durham Act, R.S.O. 1980, chapter 434, all the assets
and real and personal property of any nature whatsoever used solely for
the purpose of the collection and disposal of sewage by an area munici-
pality were vested in the Regional Municipality of Durham on January
1st, 1974; and
WHEREAS, the Regional Municipality of Durham has requested a Transfer
from the Corporation of the Town of Pickering (as successor to the
Township of Pickering) confirming the regional corporation's title to
Lot 189, Plan M-7, Pickering;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a Transfer,
in the form attached hereto as Schedule "A", between the Corpora-
tion of the Town of Pickering and the Regional Municipality of
Durham respecting Lot 189, Plan M-7, Pickering. (Lakecrest Sewage
Pumping Station)

Office of Land Titles at Whitby.
