HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 1516/82THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NO. 1516/82 Being a By-Law to change the names of streets in Lots 19 and 20, Concession 1 and Plan M-1024 (Glenanna Avenue/Road) WHEREAS pursuant to section 210.105 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1980, chapter 302, the council of a local municipality may pass by-laws for giving names to or changing the names of highways on public or private property; and WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to give names to certain highways and to change the names of certain highways in order to provide for the proper integration of Registered Plan 40M-1231, Registered Plan M-1024, and portions of Lots 19 and 20, Concession 1, abutting those plans; NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: The lands described in Schedules "A" and "B" hereto are hereby named "Sheridan Mall Parkway". (Part 1, Plan 40R-6530; Parts 1-6, Plan 40R-6759; Parts 1 and 2, Plan 40R-4364). Glenanna Avenue, also known as Glenanna Road, as described in Schedule "C" hereto, is hereby renamed "Sheridan Mall Parkway". 3. Schedules "A", "B" and "C" attached hereto form part of this By- Law. 4. Appendix "I" attached hereto is for illustration purposes only. This By-Law shall take effect upon the registration of a certified copy thereof in the Land Registry Office in the Land Titles Office for the Registry Division of Durham. BY-LAW read a third time and finally passed this 1982. 7th day of Septembe~ SCHEDULE "A" ALL AND SINGULAR those certain parcels or tracts of land and premises situate, lying and being in the Town of Pickering, in the Regional Municipality of Durham and Province of Ontario and being composed of: FIRSTLY, that part of Lot 20, Concession 1, designated as Part 1 on a plan of survey of reference deposited in the Land Registry Office for the Registry Division of Durham (No. 40) as Plan 40R-6530; and SECONDLY, those parts of Lots 19 and 20, Concession 1, designated as ~arts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 on a plan of survey of reference deposited in the said Office as Plan 40R-6759. SCHEDULE "B" ALL AND SINGULAR those certain parcels or tracts of land and premises situate, lying and being in the Town of Pickering, in the Regional Municipality of Durham and Province of Ontario and being composed of those parts of Block H, according to a plan registered in the Land Titles Office for the Registry Division of Durham (No. 40) as Plan M-1024, designated as Parts 1 and 2 on a plan of survey of reference deposited in the said Office as Plan 40R-4364, Being part of Parcel J-l, Section M-1024, Picketing. SCHEDULE "C" ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land and premises situate, lying and being in the Town of Pickering, in the Regional Municipality of Durham and Province of Ontario and being composed of all of Glenanna Avenue, according to a plan registered in the Land Titles Office for the Registry Division of Durham (No. 40) as Plan M-1024, Being part of Parcel Streets-l, Section M-1024, Pickering.
