BY-LAW NO. 1446/82
Being a By-Law to stop up parts of Rail
Crescent (formerly Bayview Road) and to
authorize the sale of those parts of the
said road to abutting property owners
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of subsection 298(1) of the
Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1980, chapter 302, the council of any muni-
cipality may pass by-laws to stop up a highway or part thereof and
to sell parts of stopped-up highways; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed expedient to stop up those parts of Rail Cres-
cent hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, notice of this By-Law has been published once a week for
four consecutive weeks and the provisions of the Municipal Act
relating to the stopping-up of a highway have been complied with;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The lands described in Schedule "A" attached hereto are hereby
stopped up as a public highway.
2. The lands described in Schedule "A" attached hereto shall be
offered for sale to the abutting property owners.
3. This By-Law shall not take effect until registered in the Registry
Office for the Registry Division of Durham.

ALL AND SINGULAR those certain parcels or tracts of lands and premises
situate, lying and being in the Town of Pickering, in the Regional
Municipality of Durham and Province of Ontario and being composed of:
FIRSTLY, those parts of Lot 12, Plan 221, designated as Parts 1, 2
and 3 on a plan of survey of record deposited in the Land Registry
Office for the Registry Division of Durham as Plan 40R-6851;
SECONDLY, those parts of Lot 14, Plan 221, designated as Parts 4 and
5 on the said Plan 40R-6851;
THIRDLY, those par%s of Rail Crescen%, formerly Bayview Road, Plan
221, designated as Parts 6, 7 and 8 on the said Plan 40R-6851; and
FOURTHLY, those parts of Lot 29, Concession 1, designated as Parts
9, 10 and 11 on the said Plan 40R-6851.
