Moved by Councillor McLean
Seconded by Councillor Ryan
That Notice of a Special Meeting of Council pursuant to By-law Number 3665/92 having
properly been given and pursuant to Section 239(4) of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O.
2001, the Council of the Corporation of the City of Pickering hereby resolves to conduct
a closed meeting to discuss two personnel matters.

That the Confidential Memorandum of the Chief Administrative Officer dated January
16, 2003 regarding a Legal Services Review be received; and
That Option #1 set out in the said Confidential Memorandum be approved.

That the memorandum of the Chief Administrative Officer dated January 16, 2003
regarding the City of Pickering Growth Management Study - Committee
Representation, be received; and
That Ron Halliday, being a major landowner representative within the Growth
Management Study Area, and Sandy Rider and David Steele, being public
representatives.

The Chief Administrative Officer distributed a letter dated January 20, 2003 from
Andrew Biggart, Solicitor, representing the City of Pickering, regarding the motion for
costs brought before the Ontario Municipal Board by the Pickering Harbour Company
respecting lands on the west side of Liverpool Road.
