BY-LAW NO. 2374 /87
Being a by-law to repeal By-law 2059/85, which
authorizes the execution of a Transfer/Deed of
Land from The Corporation of the Town of
Picketing to J.D.S. Investments Limited of that
part of the road allowance between Lots 20 and
21, Concession 2, Picketing, closed by By-law
1945/84 (Valley Farm Road - part).
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of section 193 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O.
1980, chapter 302, the Council of The Town of Picketing enacted By-law 2059/85 on
July 2, 1985, authorizing the execution of Transfer/Deed of Land from The Corpo-
ration of the Town of Picketing to J.D.S. Investments Limited of that part of the
road allowance between Lots 20 and 21, Concession 2, Picketing, designated as Parts
1 to 6, Plan 40R-8581, closed by By-law 1945184; and
WHEREAS on March 21, 1986, the Supreme Court of Ontario quashed By-law 1945/84
(SCO - Toronto, file no. RE167/86) rendering By-law 2059185 ineffective;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. By-law 2059~85 is hereby repealed.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 2nd day of Feb-
ruary, 1987.
