B~Y-LAW NO. 3790/9~1
Being a by-law to amend By-law 3742/91, stopping-up
and closing part of the road allowance between Lots 34
and 35, Concession 1, Picketing, as public highway and
authorizing the sale thereof to the abutting owner (Parts
16 and 17, Plan 40R-13600; part of Pinegrove Road).
WHEREAS The Corporation of the Town of Picketing is the owner of a section of public highway
known as Pinegrove Road, being that part of the road allowance between Lots 34 and 35, Concession 1,
Picketing, designated as Parts 16 and 17, Plan 40R-13600; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1980, chapter 302, sections 193(1),
298(1)(c), 298(1)(d) and 316, on June 24, 1991, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of
Picker'mg passed By-law 3742/91 stopping up that land as highway and authorizing the sale thereof at a
fixed price; and
WHEREAS it is deemed desirable to amend By-law 3742/91 in certain respects;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS
FOLLOWS:
Sections 2, 3 and 4 of By-law 3742/91 are hereby revoked and the following substituted for
them:
The lands described in section I shall be offered for sale to the abutting owner for the
sale price of $10,500.00.
The offer referred to in section 2 shall be made by the Town on or before August 14,
1991.
The period within which the abutting owner may exercise his right to purchase the
lands described in section 1 shall commence at 9.'00 a.m. on August 14, 1991, and end
at 4:00 p.m. on August 28, 1991.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 7th day of August, 1991.
