HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 3764/91THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER 3764/91 Being a by-law to appoint By-law Enforcement Officers for certain purposes {Parking Regulations - Durham Condominium Corporations #93 and #106) Whereas pursuant to the provisions of section 70 of the Police Act, R.S.O. 1980, chapter 381, as amended, the council of any municipality or the trustees of any police village may appoint one or more municipal law enforcement officers who shall be peace officers for the purpose of enforcing the by-laws of the municipality or police village; NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: The following persons are hereby appointed as Municipal Law Enforcement Officers in an for the Town of Pickering and are hereby authorized to enter at all reasonable times upon the lands known as Durham Condominium Corporations #93 and #106, 1880 and 1890 Valley Farm Road, Pickering, in order to ascertain whether the provisions of By-law 2359/87 are obeyed and to enforce or carry into effect the said by-law: Mr. Clifford J. Brewer Mr. John Brown Mr. George W. Chapman Mr. A. Joseph Flood Mr. Thomas Hamilton Mr. Peter C. Parcher The authority granted in section 1 hereto is specifically limited to that set out in section l, and shall not be deemed, at any time, to exceed the authority set out in section 1. These appointments shall expire upon those persons set out in section 1 ceasing to be an employee of The Canadian Corps of Commissionaires or upon The Canadian Corps of Commissionaires ceasing to be an authorized agent of Durham Condominium Corporations #93 and #106, whichever shall occur first.
